Here’s a little about me. I love writing, in all its forms. Fiction, non fiction, embellished non fiction, aka personal essays, and everything in between.
I write romance, YA and if my friends keep hounding me, maybe a memoir. I had a
crazy childhood and some think I should share. The jury is still undecided on whether I should ramble on about the purple haze, hazy time in my life. Too many naked pics, broken hearts, yada, yada. I was a child of the 70s & 80s after all.*Huge toothy grin*
Okay…Moving on…
Currently I’m working on several projects, including an erotic contemporary romance for old bags like myself. Several other projects are in the planning stage.
I’m a member of RWA and HVRWA, and partake in a couple of critique groups. I’ve been told I’m a good mentor. *Blush*
I’m happy to cheer on new writers and ye ole writers alike, no matter what stage they’re at in their journey. I’m genera non specific, so no prejudice ova’ here.
In my blog I hope to cover reverent topics like story’s structure, plot, understanding voice, tense, POV(point of view for you newbies), character development, editing and the evil necessity called the revisions processes.
While helping other writer’s I’ve grown as a writer myself. I enjoy each experience as unique and I always walk away with something new in the process. In the words of Herb Cohen, from his book How to Negotiate Anything, it’s a Win-Win.
One of my favorite sayings is “The day you stop learning is the day you should shut out the lights and leave the room.”
“What makes your day?” You ask. “Connecting with other readers, writers, editors or any fan of the written word.”

Hello Debbi
You have a great and very different talent. You like to help. Most writers, myself included, are deeply wrapped up in our own agenda. You reach out. For that I not only congratulate you, I bless you. I’m an old writer, but a new follower. Lots here of interest. If I can help you help, please let me know…

Hi Lyn,
If you really want to help…, I would love for you to write a blog post about something you feel every writer should know or you could share one valuable lesson you learned on your own journey as a writer.
